They say the first thing the human eye is attracted to is color! I often find myself drawn to works that showcase electric greens, vibrant pinks, and seductive oranges. It's that time of year! The time were we are all watching our weight, going to the gym, and cutting out sweets in order to fit into that tiny piece of fabric that we like to call a bathing suit. There are messages from you wonderful viewers (which always make my day), messages from the verbally inspiring site DailyOM, and this morning there was a message from Chronicle Books. Chronicle Books is carrying the newly released and much anticipated book Family by Lauren Duroff!

For many years, Lauren Dukoff has been photographing close friend and musician Devendra Banhart and an extended, loose-knit international family of artists who share inspiration variously from folk, Tropicalia, and each other.

One to many times I have seen great design be downgraded by poor display/photographic work, but this is not the case with the work of Christy from Farouche. I am smitten with her use of props and over-all design!
