Love: Out of the Closet

Nothing says Halloween like skeletons that have risen from the dead just in time to pose for a spooky photo shoot, so I have been holding out all month to showcase this dark and eerie piece by Ruven Afanador. I hope it was worth it :)

Cynthia Warren has it right! Growing up in a labyrinthine Victorian, surround by handmade objects and assisting in the family wood shop can only develop into a talent for creating immaculate designs!

Joy Thigpen's Nashville Lifestyle wedding has been making its rounds in blog land and I can't help but repost. I just love the whole concept that is being showcase here. It's awesome to see weddings move away from traditional concepts and into the modern world. 

Simply Joanna: Gabi Trinkaus

 

 

My photo favorite of the week is not a photographer but an artist. The Austrian born Gabi Trinkaus calls herself "media thief" since she cuts up glossy magazines and collages the pieces together creating portraits. Gabi's work is, at the moment, being exhibited at a gallery by my work. Everyday time I pass by the gallery a smile grows across my face.
