After a very long absence, I am finally back to my computer and beyond excited to start posting again! If you remember from a previous post, I had hoped to share with you images of my road trip from Savannah, GA to Newport, RI... well the trip didn't exactly go as planned! After some major road bumps, our two week long adventure turned into a day and a half of highway driving with no time for pit stops and no time for photographs :( So I thought why not share with you the final destination to our 'road trip' and the place I call home... Newport, RI!
Though located in the little state of Rhode Island, Newport has a lot to offer (Design Sponge features a lovely city guide). It is the one place I always seem to come back to for its fabulous architecture, breath-taking landscapes, and of course talented artists. Capturing the beauty of the island is local photographer, Preston Reynolds.

Welcome back! At least if it didn't go as planned, hopefully it was fun? :)

A college friend took me out to Newport a few years ago when I went to visit him in RI. After driving over that insanely scary bridge, I was greeted by the most amazing scenery. I so didn't want to leave. You live in a beautiful place, Lexi. Lucky girl.

You're right! Its finding image like these (and comments from friends) that remind me of how lucky I am to live in such a wonderful place!
